Kauai Dispensaries

One licensed dispensary with two retail locations on the Garden Isle — the smallest dispensary market in Hawaii. 329 card required.

Last verified: March 2026 · DOH Dispensary Directory

Kauai is the smallest dispensary market in Hawaii, served by a single licensed dispensary company. Green Aloha is the sole licensee on the Garden Isle, operating two retail locations. While the selection is more limited than Oahu or Maui, Kauai patients have access to the full range of product types available under Hawaii law.

Like all Hawaii dispensaries, Green Aloha is vertically integrated — they grow, process, and sell their own products on-island. This means the cannabis you purchase on Kauai was cultivated locally.

329 Card Required for All Purchases

Every Kauai dispensary requires a valid 329 card or 329V visitor card. No walk-in recreational purchases are allowed. Visitors can apply for a 329V card online at medmj.ehawaii.gov up to 60 days before arrival.

Green Aloha — 2 Locations

Green Aloha is the only dispensary licensee on Kauai, operating two retail locations on the island. As the sole provider, they serve all of Kauai's medical cannabis patients and visitors with 329V cards.

Their product line includes flower, pre-rolls, concentrates, edibles, tinctures, topicals, and vape cartridges. Because Green Aloha is the only option on the island, popular products can occasionally sell out faster than on islands with more dispensaries. If you have specific product preferences, consider calling ahead to check availability.

Only One Licensee — What That Means

Having a single dispensary licensee means Kauai patients do not have the competitive variety found on Oahu, where three licensees offer different strains and product lines. However, Green Aloha is still required to meet the same quality standards, testing requirements, and product regulations as every other Hawaii dispensary. The DOH inspects all licensees equally regardless of market size.

If you are looking for more variety, the closest additional dispensaries are on Oahu, a short inter-island flight away.

Federal Land on Kauai

Kauai has federal wilderness areas including portions of the Nā Pali Coast and land near Waimea Canyon. The Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) at Barking Sands is also federal property. Cannabis is illegal on all federal land regardless of your 329 card status. See our federal land warning.

Getting to Dispensaries on Kauai

Kauai is a small island, but public transit options are limited. A rental car or rideshare is the most practical way to reach dispensary locations. Driving times across the island are relatively short — most areas are within 30–45 minutes of a dispensary location. Note that there is no road connecting the north and south sides through the Nā Pali Coast, so you must go around through Līhu'e.
